Modern concepts of studying the world tourism market
Since ancient times, travel and tourism have been important aspects of human social activity. The desire to explore new places in their own country or abroad, to search for changes in the environment leads to the increasing role of tourism as one of the most dynamic industries. By and large, the dynamics of its growth is due to an increase in income, an increase in free time and a decrease in the cost of travel. As the activity of airports is becoming more popular, so the demand for the services of travel agencies is increasing. Their activities are becoming more automated, which leads to increased convenience in the search for tourists.
The Internet has led to the growth of the tourism industry, providing online booking.
The essence of sports tourism
Everyone knows what skiing in winter is like, rafting on mountain rivers, biking and motor trips, but not everyone thinks that all this is part of sports tourism. Loiko OT defines it as a traditional form of tourist activity. It is worth saying that sports tourism is even more than just one of the forms and types of tourism. Today, sports tourism is a national sport. «Sport tourism is a sport for overcoming an extended segment of the earth’s surface, called a route» (Loiko, 2011). Besides this, overcoming also water spaces and caves. During the passage of the route, various unique natural obstacles are overcome. Such as, mountain peaks and passes (in mountain tourism) or river rapids (in rafting along rivers).
It should be noted right away that sport tourism is a complex phenomenon that includes different types of tourism. Classification of sports tourism is carried out according to different criteria and attributes.
Geography of sports tourism
With the development of society, physical activity and sport are increasingly penetrating all spheres of human life, becoming an increasingly important and integral part of the life of world civilization. Currently, millions of people around the world lead a healthy lifestyle, part of which are physical activity and health practices, participation in sports competitions. High rates of development in recent decades and high-performance sports, gradually turning into a whole industry of sports and entertainment events. Physical culture and sports in modern society are the most important factor in maintaining and strengthening people’s health, improving their culture, a way of communication, active leisure, an alternative to bad habits and addictions.
Features of the world tourism market
The processes of globalization show that tourism as a direction of international trade in services is an integral part of civilized social development. The international tourism market acts as a powerful factor in the socio-economic development of the country, providing incentives for inflows of foreign income, increasing employment, well-being and expanding interpersonal contacts. The increase in international relations solves the issues of preservation of monuments of cultural, historical, natural heritage, leads to the opening of new directions, influencing the diversification of the structure of the economy. These circumstances determine the importance of studying this direction.
As a catalyst for the development of the tourism industry due to the high multiplier effect affects the associated transport and communication system, agriculture and trade.
THE EFFECTIVENESS OF GRANT PRIX FORMULA 1 IN AZERBAIJAN
3.1. The research of methodology
International tourism statistics use different forms of information collection. Statistical observation can be carried out through reporting or through specially conducted surveys.

3.4. Evaluation of the dependence of the efficiency of tourism of Azerbaijan from the implementation of Formula 1
To confirm the hypothesis, we conducted a correlation and regression analysis of the relationship between tourist flows and the level of revenue from the implementation of Formula 1.
A correlation coefficient (or linear correlation coefficient) is defined as “r” (in rare cases, “ρ”) and characterizes a linear correlation (that is, a relationship that is defined by some value and direction) of two or more variables. The value of the coefficient lies between -1 and +1, that is, the correlation is both positive and negative. If the correlation coefficient is -1, there is an ideal negative correlation; if the correlation coefficient is +1, there is an ideal positive correlation. In other cases, there is a positive correlation, a negative correlation, or a lack of correlation between the two variables.

CONCLUSIONS
After the study, we have made the following conclusions:
1. Statistics show that sports tourism has recently shown very high growth rates in world tourism. Moreover, at a time when many traditional tourism activities are showing a decline, sports tourism continues to develop successfully, showing steady growth. Leading analysts predict a record increase in revenues in sports tourism, while in some countries, sport provides up to 25% of all revenues from tourism. The world tourism organization has recognized sport tourism as a whole, and predicts that the winter and water sports will be the most important segments of the tourist market by 2020, Thus, sports tourism is regarded as a factor of sustainable development of tourist destinations. Based of this, the implementation of revenue-management of the management is provided to be aimed at regulating pricing by exploring demand.
