THEORETICAL ASPECTS OF SPORTS TOURISM Modern concepts of studying the world tourism market Since ancient times, travel and tourism have been important aspects of human social activity. The desire to explore new places in their own country or abroad, to search for changes in the environment leads to the increasing role of tourism as one of the most dynamic industries. By and large, the dynamics of its growth is due to an increase in income, an increase in free time and a decrease in the cost of travel. As the activity of airports is becoming more popular, so the demand for the services of travel agencies is increasing. Their activities are becoming more automated, which leads to increased convenience in the search for tourists. The Internet has led to the growth of the tourism industry, providing online booking. The essence of sports tourism Everyone knows what skiing in winter is like, rafting on mountain rivers, biking and motor trips, but not everyone thinks that all this is part of sports tourism. Currently, millions of people around the world lead a healthy lifestyle, part of which are physical activity and health practices, participation in sports competitions. High rates of development in recent decades and high-performance sports, gradually turning into a whole industry of sports and entertainment events. Physical culture and sports in modern society are the most important factor in maintaining and strengthening people’s health, improving their culture, a way of communication, active leisure, an alternative to bad habits and addictions. Features of the world tourism market The processes of globalization show that tourism as a direction of international trade in services is an integral part of civilized social development. The international tourism market acts as a powerful factor in the socio-economic development of the country, providing incentives for inflows of foreign income, increasing employment, well-being and expanding interpersonal contacts. The increase in international relations solves the issues of preservation of monuments of cultural, historical, natural heritage, leads to the opening of new directions, influencing the diversification of the structure of the economy. These circumstances determine the importance of studying this direction. As a catalyst for the development of the tourism industry due to the high multiplier effect affects the associated transport and communication system, agriculture and trade. Leading analysts predict a record increase in revenues in sports tourism, while in some countries, sport provides up to 25% of all revenues from tourism. The world tourism organization has recognized sport tourism as a whole, and predicts that the winter and water sports will be the most important segments of the tourist market by 2020, Thus, sports tourism is regarded as a factor of sustainable development of tourist destinations.
